TRIPLE BIRTH EXPERIENCES IN MARRIAGE

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God, he created them; male and female, he created them. Then God blessed them and said,  “Be fruitful and multiply…”1“And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”2,  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof: and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”3

God’s Desired State of Experience in Marriage

Marriage is an institution established by God. It is God’s idea.  No culture brought it about. God originated marriage and family life. It is a picture of the relationship between Christ and His Church. The first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, married in the state of holiness, righteousness, love, obedience, and oneness experienced before the fall. God still requires this state of experience in marriage today.

Holiness experience in marriage. God created Adam and Eve to be like Him in holiness. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.” For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”4Goddesires a husband and a wife to be holy in marriage relationships. Holiness is critical in making it to heaven, the home of the holy people. Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living in a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.”5 So, do not let marriage rob you of holiness, a requirement for seeing God.

Righteousness experienced in marriage. God created Adam and Eve righteous, as He is. Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: when people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.” 6 God is always right, just, and upright in all His actions and character. God desires that a husband and wife be righteous in their marriage.

Love experienced in marriage. God is Love. Love is the nature of God. And God is holy—his holiness permeates all of God’s nature, including love. Therefore, God’s love is holy.  God expresses His love for human beings first by creating them in His image. God’s love brings human beings redemption from their sinful nature and actions. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”8 God instructs human beings on how to love Him and their neighbors in this manner: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”9A husband and a wife must love each other; however, in marriage, the nature of a husband’s love for the wife is uniquely emphasized: “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”10 “… God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”11In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies”12and as Christ loves the Church. Jesus said, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other, just as I have loved you. You should love each other.”  Now listen to this: you do not love your wife because she is a saint, though she is, but because it is God’s command for you to love her.

Submissive experience: A husband and a wife should submit to one another out of reverence for Christ; 14 however, in marriage, the nature of a wife’s submission to the husband is uniquely emphasized. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husband in everything.  For a husband is the head of his wife, as Christ is the head of the church.”15 “…and the wife must respect her husband.”16 Now listen to this: you do not submit to your husband because he is a saint, though he is, but because it is God’s command for you to submit and respect him.

Oneness experience in marriage: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.”17The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are “three separate, distinct, and recognizable personalities and qualities, perfectly united in one.” In marriage, God said, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”18 God places great importance on oneness in a marriage relationship and no separation. 19

The concept of triple birth experiences in marriage

The first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, married in the state of holiness, righteousness, love, obedience, and oneness before the fall. Such a state of experience in a marriage relationship attracted God’s presence. The Bible states, “When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden.”20

However, Adam and Eve fell into sin and became depraved, guilty, and subject to the penalty of death. So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and He sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made.”21“Therefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned:..”22Therefore, God’s Desired State of Experience in Marriage was ruined.

The concept of triple birth experiences in marriage is a three-step process for bringing marriage back to God’s desired state of holiness, righteousness, love, obedience, and oneness. The three-step process includes

  • The Natural Birth Experience
  • The Spiritual Birth Experience
  • The Marriage Birth Experience
