The Bible says, “God is Love.” And the standard of our love for one another is just as Jesus loves us—a holy nature of love. God exists from everlasting to everlasting.3 All things exist through and for Him.4Interestingly, God is transcendent, meaning He is above, beyond, independent of creation, eternal, and not limited by time or space. God is holy and eternal; His love is holy and eternal. At the time of spiritual new birth, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in our hearts and produces love as one of the “fruit” of the Spirit.
