“For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”1“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”2 “And the Lord said, if ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”3
When you are born again (please read, “Your new nature is created to like God”), you inherit the nature of God through Jesus Christ, including the inherent faith which the Holy Spirit produced in your life at your spiritual birth. Jesus said,…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”4 Jesus is the Overcomer of the world. Now that you are in union with Him through being born again, you partake with Jesus Christ in overcoming the world through faith. However, to have real-world experience of overcoming the world, your tiny seed of faith (the mustard seed) must be alive, take root, and grow to become great faith to uproot and destroy competing loyalties in your life, including the corrupt systems, temptations, and challenges of the fallen world that look like impossibilities.
