PERFECT SOUNDNESS FOR ALL

Wholesome Life Transformation is a profound change in the hearts and minds of individuals rooted in the word of the Creator-God as contained in the Holy Bible and grounded in evidence-based health education and promotion interventions, guiding individuals, families, and communities toward achieving optimal health and well-being, a purpose-driven life, and spiritual well-being that reflect the nature of the Creator-God.

Understanding Perfect Soundness

The term “Perfect Soundness” appears in the Bible in the book of Acts 3:16, which states, “And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”1The Greek word for perfect soundness is “holokleria”, meaning entire wholeness or unimpaired condition. In this context, I define perfect soundness for all as a state of complete wholeness in which the body is unimpaired, and every part and dimension is healthy, functional, and fit for use.

The whole story

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered the temple. Who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And Peter, fixing his eyes upon him with John, said, “Look at us. And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have given I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”2

Deformity and Restoration

This was a “forty-year-oldor olderperson” 3 with a physical limitation that constrained his ability to walk. This appeared solely as a physical health issue, which, given current understanding, might be caused by genetic factors, environmental exposures, or a combination of both, or by an unknown cause. Whatever the reason, he received a miraculous healing through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, experiencing a complete restoration to optimal health and well-being. His miraculous healing was twofold:

In the first part, the faith of Peter and John in the name of Jesus Christ made him Strong. He was a lame man, not strong, and unable to walk. He had a physical health problem. Now, having received a miracle, “immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he is leaping up, standing, walking, and entering with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.”Whatever yourhealth needs- physical, mental, emotional, and social-your faith in the name of Jesus Christ will bring you the same miraculous experience.

In the second part, the lame man received “perfect soundness.”  Health is multidimensional. Adverse health conditions can come from the physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, occupational, financial, and spiritual dimensions. Thisman’s physical health issue affected all dimensions of his health. God gave him physical restoration and “Perfect Soundness,” enabling him to experience holistic well-being, lead an independent life, and pursue a purpose-driven life.

One More Thing

One more thing, and the most critical aspect of achieving perfect soundness for all. To receive a miracle tailored to a specific health issue and perfect soundness, as seen in the story, requires a holy lifestyle and an active, unwavering faith in the name of Jesus Christ, as demonstrated by Peter and John. On the other hand, the lame man had complete trust in Peter and John for uncommon alms (the name of Jesus Christ); he gave his full attention to them so as not to miss an excellent opportunity for extraordinary alms, and had great expectations for exceptional alms. “And Peter, fixing his eyes upon him with John, said, Look at us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them.”As stated in Proverbs 4:20-22, “My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. The lame man paid exclusive attention. He got his healing. Healing is the children’s bread.”

At WLT, we will guide you in receiving and maintaining your miracle. Based on the story of the lame man, we will discuss how each body part and dimension of health is affected by an adverse health condition, and we will pray for you for perfect soundness.
