Dr. Augustine E. Umoren is the President and the Chief Executive Officer of “Wholesome Life Transformation Inc,” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington, DC.

During his formative years, a deep-seated desire began to stir within him to make a positive impact on young adults in his generation. He has led the young adults’ fellowship at his Church in Washington, DC, for many years. Today, as an adult, Dr. Umoren’s vision for young people is “A world where all young adults (ages 18–39) are empowered to adopt and sustain positive health behaviors, achieve optimal health and well-being, lead purpose-driven lives, free from poverty, distress, hunger, homelessness, and violence, establish stable marriages and strong family relationships, and model lives after the character traits of the Creator-God.And provide relief for the poor and needy young people in our communities, motivating and empowering them to succeed. Dr. Umoren guides individuals and communitiestoward a healthy lifestyle and “Perfect Soundness” for all.

Dr. Umoren builds relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, locations, and positions to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate health programs and interventions for disease, injury, disability, and premature death prevention, as well as enhancing people’s ability to take steps to improve their health and wellbeing and prolonging quality of life, addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) issues to eliminate avoidable differences in health status among subpopulations and health inequity. Dr. Umoren worked for many years in clinics, medical centers, hospitals, and communities, preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases and injuries, promoting health, and prolonging the quality of life in low-income nations.

He received a BS (honors) in radiography from the College of Medical Sciences, Calabar, Nigeria. He obtained an MD in general medicine from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus. Dr. Umoren holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in global health and a Graduate Certificate in Health Promotion (GCHP) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA. He is a Ph.D. student in theology at Trinity College of the Bible and Seminary in Evansville, IN.Dr. Umoren is a volunteer minister and the Author of the book, “Total Health.”

Dr. Umoren resides in Washington, DC, with his precious wife, Gloria, and their children.
